Our Majorcan villa, El Establo is set an attractive urbanisation situated equal distance between the market town of Sa Pobla and the delightful town of Pollenca with the closest beach at Puerto Pollensa. Surrounded by pine tree covered hills and tranquil sounds of Cicada in the evening.
With a traditional Mallorcan name, El Establo, meaning The Stable it took its name from the large 400 year old finca or farmhouse that is opposite, however its far from a stable and no straw or donkeys will be found inside.
Mallorca, The Island
Mallorca is the largest of the three Balearic Islands; bathed in sunshine with stunning scenery and some of the best beaches in the Mediterranean. It's one of Europe's most popular holiday destinations. On the southern side of the island there are many well known resorts such as Palma Nova and Magalluf Playa which attract groups of people who wish to enjoy the nightlife of bars and clubs such as BCM.In complete contrast (where you will find our private villa) you only have to head north to find a change in scenery and atmosphere. Life slows down a little more, the landscape becomes more rugged and you feel you have arrived in Spain. The most dramatic landscapes are in the north where winding roads take you from gorgeous beaches hidden away in rocky coves up hundreds of feet through pine woods and terraces of olives giving spectacular views. It's a magical place with fascinating landscape, culture and history.
